You might be a redneck if...

Mollie and I spent Mother's Day weekend traveling to see my parents. On the way home, we went through a McDonald's Drive Thru for a drink in Jackson, Tennessee.
This is what we saw....

All I could think was...

You might be a redneck if the speaker at your local McDonald's drive thru sits on a saw horse

Mollie and I giggled for sure!!!

Easter Peacock???

Sunday mornings....

Mollie and I take a short detour by the home of some Peacocks after worship most every Sunday morning. We call it "Peacock Hunting".

Easter Sunday was no different. Here is my favorite friend. I call him, Buddy.

Sugarland...Nashville...April 2011

A few weekends ago, Mollie and I went to Nashville. I had a Premier Jewelry training meeting to go to with Mindy and I also had been given tickets to a SugarLand concert. Mindy was going to go with me but as it turned out, Chris was not feeling well so, Mollie stepped in and went with me.

It was actually Mollie's first "official" concert. She has been to see a band at the county fair but never a "real" concert. We had a really good time.

Royal Wedding... 4/29/11

I can't help myself. I like the fairy tale princess and prince stuff. I was a teenager when Diana and Charles got married and it was exciting and thrilling. So, today as Kate and William tied the knot, it held a special place in my heart.

Admittedly I had a little melancholy nostalgia pang in my stomach. Watching today's royal wedding definitely brought back memories of Charles and Diana's wedding as well as the fact that Diana is no longer with us. Now that I am a mother myself, I had the heartstrings tugging that Diana was not here to see her baby boy get married to his Princess.

But I also had the warm and fuzzy feelings for Kate and Will. The excitement of Kate's beautiful wedding dress (which was very "Grace Kellyish"...awesome) and her handsome prince dressed in his red military uniform. The carriage ride after the ceremony, the waves, their smiling glowing faces, and then of course, "The Kiss" on the balcony. They're just so cute.

I wasn't even horrified at the Queen's Canary Yellow Suit...although it made me think of Tweety Bird. Do you think she has her crown on under that hat?

The ceremony was full of color, happiness, and hope. Thank goodness for a little "good news" and a happy occasion in the world today. Well done Kate and Will!!!
