The Five Love Languages

I just finished reading The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman last night. I absolutley loved it. It could probably save a marriage as well as just make a marriage better. Next time I need to buy a wedding gift, this is going to be it.

Still Running.....

You may be wondering how my first week of my new running adventure went. Well, it went great. I am not saying it wasn't hard at times because, it's really, really, really, really, really, HOT out there. Whew!!!
What I do like about it? I actually feel better after getting out there. Sweat and all.
Last week I ran 1 minute, walked 2 minutes alternating and began with a 5 minute warm up. This week is run TWO MINUTES, walk three. Did I mention it was hot out there?
I've been meeting a bunch of other gals out there. Some are veteran runners and some are beginngers like me.
So, wish me luck and I will keep you posted.

Talked, pushed, persuaded, convinced, and bullied

Talked, pushed, persuaded, convinced, and bullied……

I would like to start this blog with those words. Those are the words I would use to describe how my VERY dear friend LaNell got me to start a running program.

Last night was my first official training. It is week one and the plan is to run one minute and walk two minutes three times the first week. I did it!!! FOR TWO MILES!!! WOW! (of course a 5 minute warm up walk was in that mix)

This morning I am NOT sore and feel good. AND yes...i still love my friend LaNell.

Next scheduled session...THURSDAY.

Lunch on Joe!!!

Yes, this is my lunch and YES, I am eating at my desk. Subway...yum!
A 6 inch Black Forest Ham sub with Provolone cheese, tomato, banana peppers, pickles, oregano, and fat free honey mustard on wheat bread.
I made it a combo that includes chips (light) and a drink (diet) for $5.
But, thanks to my generous brother in law...I only paid .46 cents (tax). WooHoo!!!
So, the purpose of this posting was to actually send a couple of thank yous and here they are.
Thank you Joe for the gift card!!! My lunch was deeelish!!!
Thank you Amanda for teaching me that Banana Peppers are not hot and that they are quite tasty!!!
And
Thank you Subway for a low cal lunch today!!!
